I love what you have done to your car, I have a 2.0 sport in yellow and it looks like yours, but I really want to get it to look like yours (copying I know) i've tried PMing you, but ive added you to MSN instead. How much did all the mods cost?

cheers for the photoshop! ok as i said before i had the same problem with my 1.2 and i went about changing absolutely everything; egr valve, both o2 sensors, injectors, throttle body, spark plug sockets,MAP sensor and even the cat, so many other things were changed also and nothing really worked. however now it seems to be getting 75 miles to £10 normal petrol, same as my cupra tdi lol!
what i dis was filled the tank (vented it so was FULL) reset ECU and drove very sensibly. i got around 310 miles iirc. do you do town or motorway driving, cause obv it makes a huge difference. do vag com logs of oxygen sensors and re-align your throttle body. should hopefully make a difference.
also remember it takes time for your ECU to adapt to new driving styles or any changes. service?

Change the spark plugs, oil filter, oil, and fuel filter. See what happens after that.
Won't cost much to do.
I don't have a clue where the fuel filter is, trying to find that out just now.

seems to run fine, except a few lecky problems like dash light not going out and a xenon not always coming on first go, other than tht i dont have any reason for this, how much is a new inlet and the exhaust valves? how would i do a compression test?

I think it is time you took it to a pro for a service and diagnosis at least (well next year now) personally I wouldn't feel very comfortable running the car knowing something is wrong I would be worried there could be damage being done.

my bro is the pro, hes an ex-seat mechanic time served, he has a few ideas and is gonna give it a good service for me, its just he's a busy guy to get time from to come fixing my problems, hes got alot of his own stuff to be doing, and i aint taking it to seat for them to rip me off. i could get a full service for about £40 from my bro, no labour costs.

rite well another rant about fuel, £34 got me 3/4 of a full tank and this was superunleaded and look at the miles i got, :(

oh look 175.3 miles to 3/4's of a tank, i honeslty give up, thats standard airbox and panel filter

under 60 miles per quarter tank.....thats worse than a petrol cupra

That's pretty much what i'm getting and i have 15" Steelies on!

I don't think 1.2's are that economical because they need reving a lot to move and the engine is a bit too small for the weight it has to move.

That's good then, I have never been to a seat dealer before not bothered and none local anyway. My step family own a garage and look after my car for me. That is the only problem when its a favour pinning people down, I used to have a friend who helped me with car bit but he was always too busy I felt bad pestering! Hope your bro can sort it for you next year then IO know all garages are rammed ATM

Remember your comission Scott in the pricing.

Ive heard the EGR valves are prone to cause problems on the 1.2's. Lets hope its an easy fix and you economical again.

hopefully mate

If it makes you feel any better I put £10 in the other night and only got 61 miles from it....
Seems my car can drink when it feels like it!

.G.

not like your car to do tht, i think because u are mainly motorway miles is why u get soo many, but im still not satisfied with why mines drinks like a fish
