It will certainly lessen the effect Ricky. As soon as your increase gas flow the standard d/p, cat is obviousley operating outside of its designed parameters. I would expect a normal Cupra to be better as it hasn,t got a massive bend for the back box thats needed for the K1,s central exit.

The noise your hearing is the exhaust gases trying to escape. Its due to a badly designed back box, ie cheap and nasty. The gas is getting trapped and as a result the heat build up is excessive - leading eventually to a cooked catmine was nearly burnt out after 3k - although mine was mapped from new. Solution - quality cat back exhaust such as Milltek/Blueflame etc etc needs putting on asap.

I am now in the process of ordering a Milltek cat back, which will hopefully eliminate the problem.
I have come to the decision that me and the K1 dont get on too well.
At the the age of 39, i cant help thinking that the looks of the K1 kit are a bit too "in yer face" for me, and the rock hard suspension isnt helping my glass-back, so i have chopped it in for a BMW 335I.
About 2 weeks after getting the car, that got-a-new-car exitement wore off and became dissapointment quite quickly, not because its not a bad car, it is infact a very good car, its just not for me.
I got a decent P/X value against the Beemer and didnt lose much on it, the 335I is picked up early next week, and i cant wait, although i have been here before.

I considered the 335i, but decided against it as I thought I was too young to own such a upmarket car and wanted to be thrown about with a bumpy ride etc.
Im sure you will love it, its a great car.
