High speed problems...

I'm quite lucky in a way my dads friend is a farmer who owns an unused old WW airfield, so p!ssing about on his private road is quite fun.... maybes...

anyways...

Was travelling up one of these runways and was about to hit the 160mph mark and then the car just stopped, revs started dropping as if my foot had been taken off the accelorator but it hadnt... and it happend again last week doing 130mph.... any idea what could cause this???

I got the full milltek system fitted 3 weeks back now and it never happened before i had this fitted, could that cause any problems or what???

It wasn't mate no... but i had that early in the year when i hit 7k revs,... found out that was the Revo map and something to do with not liking SEATs... never had it since like... but no mate, not been flashing...

ive had similiar before iirc. What stage software are you on?

This is exactly why I dislike the 2.0TFSI, so many stupid little niggles due to stupid sensors.

Well its the Revo stage 2 software, but that was put on before i had the exhaust put on...

The bloke at Revo said when he plugged the laptop in the car to map it, it advised him to stage 2 it, or somehting like that, so i saved the extra £50 to start with, and he said put the extra parts on when you can if u want... never had a problem with it apart from that other problem i mentioned above, and ive had it on for a year now the map :S

did you put the 4bar fpr on i had to have this on when i did a Stage 2 on my lcr may be a thought

that doesnt mean anything for the TFSI engines, this engine is alot different!

Does this problem (loss of power) continue untill you switch the engine off and back on again? Or is it just a momentary loss in power. If its the former, ive had similar issues.

Yeh mate i will hit the speed and then revs drop off and thats it, i can then put the foot down again and be off... :S
