dont cut your engine cover up relocate your open cone filter into the flow of air i did this on my old car i didnt expect it to do much but it was alot better than having it on the throttle body it changed the note a bit too.

where could i relocate too, its a flat cone so slightly wider than a normal cone filter.

im absolutely raging, i ran the car to almost empty last week and the on friday just the, i.e. the 6th i put in £20 fuel, gave me just under a half tank......now i would normally get like 80 miles per quarter tank......guess how many miles i have done and the fuel like it back on.....came on at 70 miles (i could cry) this is rediculous u would think im driving a cupra. honestly a joke, thats a mix of town and motorway driving. I know the induction kit doesnt help but it aint that bad, i think it being on the throttle body is the worst place for it and all its doing is sooking in warm/hot air and burning fuel quicker. So where do i buy silicone hoses etc to move it away from the heat and how do i make it stay in place?? someone please help haha

i think green sell the pipes if not i know demon tweeks do. you need to take the measurement of your throttle body and the measurement of your airfilter hole then work out what angles you need and lengths.
although i cant see this being the reason for your car being an alcoholic it might be though.

i cant see this being the full reason, but i think its partially to blame, any air filter is meant to have a cold air feed, yeh iv fed mine warm air for breakfast lunch and dinner for as long as its been in, now i think it hates me for it

big improvement. amazing what relatively small changes like that can do to the overall image of a car.:D
