His trims are positive, and the lambda says its running rich.
"Positive values indicate that the engine is running too lean and oxygen sensor control is therefore making it richer by increasing the amount of time that the injectors are open."
http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/fuel-trim.html
With lamda readings, the higher the reading the leaner the mix and consequently the lower the reading the richer the mix. ie 0.78 is richer than 0.85 as an example.

Right looking at todays logs i dont think im getting enough fuel... it definately looks dodgy at the top end although i dont think its going to blow to bits :)

once i saw the fueling we stopped logging, i wish i had got some more of IDC etc......theres obviously a problem somewhere, im not going to try to push it any further until things are sorted.

just in case my MAF housing is throwing it out i will be changing it ASAP

What size ID maf are you using and what size is standard? Im trying to work out the scaling.

Dumping in some extra fuel tho isnt it. Would that say that you might be using too big maf?

The maf is a couple of mm over size Phil. The exact figures are in this thread somewhere. There were a load of logs done with a sleeve made to make it oem size. It wasn't until I got back to the original size that it ran the right figures. I think it just flows more than the standard maf so needs to be bigger to run standard figures???

I will be changing it to eliminate it.

It's worth adding that before starting logs today the adaption was at 15%, running logs for 20 mins pushed it very high.

I don't know why its aiming for such a rich mixture (0.797). Adaption could be down to screwey fuel pump, or dodgy fpr. Your vac/boost connnection to the fpr could be leaking. The 5.8% is probably larger maf, the 25% is at its limit. Should be chucking a code.
Got mine back at last. Running in for the month though. Only 12lb of boost, creeping to 14lb at higher revs, and it's doing >300g/s at 7k with only 14lb boost. 2l is deffo the way forward.

No thread as I'm too lazy and it's been going on for 8 years, 3 engines, 4 gearboxes, and I have to spend all day working.

Spools much improved dave 1 bar by 4100 vs 4600 on a 1.8. 1 baron a 2.0 is 13% more flow than 1 bar on a 1.8.

Pulls well from 3 grand where you needed 4 on th 1.8 to get any boost

I dont know John (good to see you on here by the way) i know Revo come on here, hopefully they will answer. Strange you should say about the FPR, listening to it today it sounded dodgy.... ive never heard them make a noise before.

TBH i didnt check the codes before shutting down the laptop but there was no CEL... i cant clear them anyway because it runs so bad pre adaption.

Have you bored it? they must be wafer thin now, are you not worried. sounds awesome though buddy.

83mm bore but 2.0 tfsi crank.
I'm surprised yours runs bad if you clear codes, as 5% on fueling shouldn't make it run too bad.
Look at the instantaneous adjustments to fueling, somewhere in the low blocks.

You must have a lot of other adaptions going on if reseting 5% fueling adaption throws you out.

is that a straight swap then? How did you come up with that idea, have you had it on the rollers? did you do the work or have you found a decent garage

it sounds broken pre adaption, the single mass flywheel is so noisey and it just doesnt like to idle. if you unplug the MAF it settles so it will be good to see how it copes with the OEM MAF. there could be something going on with my TIP arrangment where a swirl is unsettling the MAF figures?

What blocks do you think are worth checking?

hehe i must live in the dark mate. i thought it was more boring then a crank change, ive never looked into it. it sounds like a very worth while addition though.

today is the first real time ive given the car some stick and its running fairly low boost. going by the air flow it must be around 330bhp and TBH it feels plenty fast enough for a FWD, yours must be unbelievable, do you get to use that extra power?

i enjoy running engines in. its so much easier now i live 25miles from work. youll have to let me know how it goes when you finally get to plant your foot.

Your logs look ok. You are running leaner than requested but as said REVO is requesting richer than normal AFR's during WOT. Best safe power is made at 0.85 lambda..... which you seldom exceed or go leaner than. My bet is that REVO are specing rich AFR's to reduce EGT's.
