Wishbone Bushes.

J0N

Defected!
I noticed today that my front wishbone rear bushes are starting to crack so will need replacing. While I'm at it I intend to change the front wishbone front bush, the front arb link bush and the bottom ball joints (have I missed anything?). I'm thinking of going for poly, probably Powerflex but I've heard of people fitting Audi TT Roadster bushes. Just interested in peoples thoughts.

yeah im in the same position, i have a worn bush on the front suspension methinks, so im prolly going for poly bushes. some people say that the ride will be too hard so end up going for the TT bushes.

i checked up on the TT bushes and there are hundreds so i was baffled by that, im sticking to powerflex poly bushes i think. top mounts might as well be done too (which im just getting from SEAT)

ive got the lot, much firmer, more responsive. if you have aftermarket arbs, dont they have new bushes?

could do steering, but no real gain.

ive just done the rear beam bushes only £45, so might as well do lot.

oh and used polyflex. good quality very pleased

:) massive difference. fronts are bugger to get in im told. but most difference was from my front top mounts. ive fully adjustable kw top mounts :)

hard to describe, just alot tighter. down side is ride is a little harsher. i live in sticks, so roads aren't brill.

i could hear the wishbone hitting the chassis, on moving off and braking at slow speed.

dont think mine broke up, just became really soft. my cars done 95k now, so even new oem would have been a step up.

eBay is pointless, you can get the powerflex bushes direct from their website for cheaper...i dont think im gona need arb bushes or anything, so im just getin the wishbone bushes, rear beam and dog bone mount.

my mate has a press so im going to sweet talk him into doing it :D
