Well I just spoke to Kenny and apparently it ran 248bhp yesterday, he's sending me the graphs today. Although that is slightly lower than I was hoping for, the torque is good and the main thing is that she feels quicker on the road (maybe because I was driving the Smart car right before I got in). Apparently they ran her with std airbox which made no difference, then tried the N249 bypass and apparently it was even slower with it... The main thing is that they are happy with the way it's running and can't find any problems. The thing that does concern me a bit is that they didn't change anything and she ran a 227 and a 233 on sunday with only 250 lb/ft. I guess that's why they call it the dyno lottery. At the end of the day it's just numbers, what matters is on the road - any shortcomings will be made up for by the driver
as I was typing that I got an email from Kenny, apparently they lost the 248bhp run but he has sent me a graph that shows 244.6 bhp with 278.6 lb/ft - although there is a 237.4 bhp with 263.8lb/ft on the same sheet... The party line is " if you like you can come in and we'll take the map off for you"
I'd be lying if I said I was really happy, but still I can't fault AmD they have tried their best. I don't think I'd get a better result from a different tuner.
