Yet another Ebay bargain buy....

At a guess he's allowed the auction to start at 99p, but he also put a BIN of £80, however if someone placed the first bid at 99p, the BIN will have automatically disappeared. Tough luck on his part really, he should have kept an eye on things...

Message sent to him via eBay:

Hi,

There was definietly no Buy It Now option or price on the auction.

I bid fair an square on the brakes, and believe I am well within the
'rules' of eBay to request that you send the brakes to me as per the
contract you signed up to when you started the auction for them.

If you
disagree with this, please take the matter up with eBay.

If you do not
supply the brakes to me, then I will start a dispute process with eBay and
Paypal.

Best Regards,
Andy

What he said....

He's set it up wrong. BIN price to disapear when a bid is placed. Easy mistake tho.
He must be gutted.
Whats his feedback % and count?

did you know with 3 disputes either way and they freeze the account, workmate who's dumb habit of bidding on 3 of everything is suffering even though both parties agreed to cancel he's holding it out of spite and told him so

serves him right to be honest though

Had the same problem when I thought I'd won 345mm brake set. ****** just ignored me then eventually removed himself from ebay. Probably has a new identity.
Does ebay have ISP/IP tracking to keep tabs on multiple identities/dodgers?

Hmm, he's selling a Cat D registered Fiesta, and nothing else. :D

Hmm, I've read his feedback before due to someone complaining about the way he trades. Just recently aswell. But I can't remember why.

He did have a load of other Mk2 Leon bits up for sale (obvisouly breaking one) which all ended around the same time as the brakes.....

But none of the other 'buyers' have left any feedback on his profile yet.....

Filed a Paypal dispute this morning, no response from him as yet.....

Now I don't know much about Ebay/Paypal, but wouldn't this be an Ebay issue rather than a Paypal one? Take it up with Paypal if there's a problem with the goods maybe, but this is a refusal to uphold the contract which doesn't have anything to do with Paypal, does it? I would think that Paypal will go down the route of getting you your money back, and that's not a result you want. You want him to supply the brakes you won.

But like I said, I'm not n Ebay type.

eBay and Paypal are basically the same company ;)

If you pay via paypal on eBay, and you then raise a dispute for undelivered goods, then the dispute is actually raised through Paypal.......

We shall see what the outcome is....

End of the day, I'm not too bothered if I just get my money refunded, as I was expecting to get out bid on them anyway! ;)

But if I do end up with the brakes being supplied, bonus :D
