cupraajy - Ive got a Leon Cupra, not an R tho. It's just standard. I think I sometimes seen you a while back when I finished my work at Andersons. I very nearly bought an ibiza cupra r but in platinum. Yellow is nice tho!

took me ages to find a yellow one...ended up going down to manchester for it...well worth it tho!

...was hoping for a bit more but after taking it out i was over the moon with it!
Yeah im intrested to see what it comes out as on sat? will there be many std cars there so we can work out roughly if the rollers are accurate?

Not really a build thread...but might just do that.

TBH I would have gotten Jim to work on the map further.
I used to use him but got pissed off with his attitude and grumpiness.
I 'might' be back, but if I'm not Allen will take my car down.
My car is OEM and there was another car which was going in OEM guise too.
There will be a few cars there with known BHP/Torque so these can be used as a bench mark.

Your figures are good but would expect with further work they could be better.
This mapo was producing 250BHP and 250ft-lbs on Allens Toledo and Baz's MK3 Ibiza both with similar mods as you and KO3s turbos.
You've got to remember, Jim is a business man, the less work he does for the money the better. See what Wallace rollers say and have a think about further mapping

Well right now im happy enough with how the car is running...and if ur back on sat ill take you for a quick spin to see what you think! Im still running the Std TIP so thats going to be the next thing to get replaced. Not expecting that to make a difference but might help it breath a bit easier!

It was just the tourque figure i was supprised at cause u see alot of mk4 cupra or ko3s turbo'd cupra getting 260 ft-ib +, Was really happy with the before run, got 200BHP and just over 180 ft-Ib.

Yup would be good to get a spin to see how it feels.
How heavy is the OEM weight?
I'm sure it'll be about 1,250Kgs or summat like that.
With 225BHP, 230ft-lbs and the above weight she'll feel good.

Na but think I have lost 100Kgs from a 1,356Kgs car
So never going to be a lightweight.
If I get it down to 1,230Kgs like Megane R26r with a roll cage fitted i'd be very happy.

I can imagine it's well worth it! Im not sure what Im doing yet, although I have had it since April so should know by now lol
Maybe lower it and possibly a remap, but that will be about it. Going to save money for when I can get insurance on a LCR, thats what I really want

My mate Rico (Thats his LCR in the first couple of pics) has got a really nice example...fast too ha ha

Ive done everything i want to but still looking at doing a few extra things, Spacers, RARB, re-furb the wheel...maybe black just a general clean up of the body work.....but if i do get bored of this new found power then i might go down the hybrid route! I wont stop till the day i sell it, then it will be on to a new project ha ha

Yeah there is a couple of platinum ones and a black one too...that i have seen anyway.
Im sitting at about 225bhp, but still needing more so got to get my thinking cap on and start saving again! lol
