When you move the steering the revs jump up a little thus the slight vac change and the brake servo uses some of the vac too.

so this is perfectly fine then .. its just im trying to find a fault with my brakes and i have changed a few bits like pads and disc all round, new slide pins due to a seized one, and new sevrvo to mani pipe, only thing left is the servo and brake master, cause some times they are really good then all of a sudden the pedal goes really soft. and i thought maybe a vac leak some where..

Perfectly normal, its the engine working very slightly hence the slight vacuum change as Alex said.

When you say the pedal is soft, you mean pumping makes no difference and there is a lot of travel, but the brakes work fine when they bite?

yeah mate the servo pumps up when ignition is off and they dont pump up when ignition is on and pedal stays soft, i spoke to a aa guy and he reacons brake master cylinder..
cause when i first start car up and choke is on the pedal is better then once warm its soft again..
