Steering Wheel Buttons and Bug

Hi everyone I had experienced various errors in my Cupra Leon (2023-1.5 eTSI) vehicle before, but this error surprised me a lot

To summarize, for a long time, the button group on the right of the steering wheel sometimes worked and sometimes did not. (Button group: menu change button, gear + button, song forward/backward button etc.) Today I discovered that when I turn on the headlights of the vehicle, the buttons do not work. When I turn off the headlights, they work In auto mode, if it is evening, the buttons do not work because the headlights are turned on, but during the day when the headlights are off, the buttons work. Is there an auto scan? Is everything OEM? The vehicle should still have a warranty? What happens if the light switch is connected to the keypad? If you unplug the light switch, the vehicle goes into an "emergency function" and the light is switched on.

Everything is oem, i did not change any kind of piece on my car. The car is still under warranty, Now comes the funniest part. The service issue was examined 4 times and the keypad was replaced as a solution. Of course, there was no solution. I found the source of the problem by chance. I will share it with the authorized service, let's see what they say.

Test my idea if you want. Unplug the light switch and see if it works. An error message will surely appear and MFA will report

Hi, any update to this at all? I am having the same issues with the controls but haven't checked cked with the lighting, all are auto.

Do you know how much the replacement key pad was as I'm out of warranty as far as I am aware.

The service examined the vehicle for about a month and as a result they said they found the source of the problem. The problem with the steering wheel keypad was solved by replacing the headlight button on the left. They stated that the problem was not with the steering wheel keypad but with software-electrical problems.

Is your issue completely solved by replacing headlight buttons? I think you are Turkish. Which cupra dealer did you go in Turkey for service?

@stufan Merhaba, öncelikle şuan problem çözüldü mü emin değiliz çünkü araç son kontroller için 1 hafta önce servise alındı. Son gidişinde ikame aracın far anahtar grubunu deneme amaçlı bizim araca taktılar. Yaklaşık 1 ay bu şekilde kullandık, sanırım 2-3 defa oldu ama takılma süreleri eskisi kadar uzun değildi. yaklaşık 10-15 saniye ile sınırlı kaldı. Arca Etimesgut şubesinde ilgileniyorlar.
