Sold the Borbet's a long time ago!

Got some pretty good looking self-adhesive carbon material so I had a go at covering some parts:

Covered the mirror cases:

Did the B-pillars too:

Even did the petrol cap!

Did a couple of interior bits too:

This stuff is very easy to use and covers just about anything, it is a bit tough to cut but it looks good. Might do more, got quite a big roll of it for £25.

The mirrors look great

Do you think it would take a coat of lacquer on the mirrors? do you think lacquer would make them look even more realistic??

perhaps a good idea to protect it from the weather a bit?

Could be from here.

Yes that's the stuff, it does look really good, I'd never have gone for the normal fake CF stuff but I thought this one was worth a try.

It does have a sort of matt/satin look to it but because of the nature of the material (it's more like stretchy material than vinyl) I doubt you could spray gloss cleacoat onto it, I may be wrong though! Alot of jap tuners and shops are going for matt CF and matt vinyl wrap these days, seem popular, so I'm guessing it looks cool!

SJS Design have started doing a carbon wrapping service and the stuff they use looks the same as this stuff. Pics on the EVO forums:

I am seeing a few people changing pipes from silicone to hardpipes. Is there any difference in performance by doing this or is it more cosmetics?

That Carbon look's pretty good, I'v been doing a bit of wraping with real Carbon and it can be a real pig to do.

I'm thinking about going for some hard IC pipe's too.
