Have you tried swaping out the ecu from your mates car yet...???

shouldnt be too much hopefully from a scrappy if you need a new one...

You can code them using vag-com not sure how ive never done it but it is possible...

there proberly a guide on here some where maybe in the vag-com section...

Very simple, alot eaiser than some people make out.

Install the new ECU in the car
[Select]

[17 - Instruments]

[Adaptation - 10]
Leave channel at "00"

[Read]

[Save]


[Done, Go Back]

[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]

[Exit]


Turn ignition OFF for 15 seconds. Start vehicle.

is there a crash sensor on these cars? Just a thought .pugs have them that stop the engine running/starting.

No inertia switch.

Mr Peach really needs to swap ECU with a mate or get a compatible spare off eBay as a good fault finding measure, but only after checking power and relevant relays as above.
