Hi Mates

Im still searching for a good air filter, with maximum airflow. I saw here, that a lot of members are driving normal "non closed" filters. Why ? Are they more effective than the closed ones ? Now im still driving an RAID HP performance Kit:

Maybe you can give me some advice, what kind of filter i should run on K04 setup.

Hi mate,

alot of mk3 cupra lads run the jetex open cone filters, you would probably just need a slightly bigger one if your using it with a KO4 turbo. They are lightly oiled so very MAF friendly. Someone posted some airflow figures and showed some very good gains. Ive got one on my cupra, sounds very good!

Have a search for "Jetex filters", there is a long thread on it. Also heard "Green Cotton Filters" are good aswell, Badger5 sells these, going to use one of these when i go for a ko3 hybrid

I've recently been experiencing some possible problems with my Seat Leon 2.0TDi DSG 06car. When I accelerate on Drive, The first second or so, it feels like the car is accelerating harshly, like its gargling or something! Then its normal,and then into second gear it does it again at the beginning but then goes back to normal. This doesnt happen in Sport mode, however I do believe its started doing slightly! Little worrying. I asked a mechanic at Kwik Fit and he said aah,its a diesel...but it never did it before so he doesnt really know! Do you have any ideas why this might be happening? I've purchased some Dielectric grease to put on the MAF and maybe other plugs to see if it helps, but I was just wondering you had any other advice.

try the leon forum mate but sounds like you need a new MAF very common problem on these

Thanks for that. I will try the Leon forum. I read about the MAF problems actually and I bought some dielectric grease. Hopefully that will work.

If you are running a ko4 turbo, then the neck size of the filter will be the same as the
3'MAF that it connects to.
