Good project you've got going on there Willie. I bet you're learning a lot about your car doing this!

I can imagine in a couple of years time you'll have a 300bhp track beast! Reckon you can get the weight in under a tonne?

Not in a Leon - no chance. Even Andrew Gallachers mostly carbon Focus Cosworth is around 1150kgs.

With regards to saving weight, I will say that the LCR wheels are very heavy and well worth swapping out for a set of lightweight alloys.

Hi Willie,
I've just spent a couple of hours reading this whole thread, what an interesting and informative read - well done. It makes me sad that I missed having a good look over your car at the weekend.
I wonder what you were up to here :D

That's the plan, 300BHP should be possible with a hybrid KO4. The Backdraft motorsport on will map with REVO Select. Under tonne is impossible. I would like to be running the same/similar weight to the Megane R26R which is 1,230 Kgs

Under a tonne in a Leon... is that even possible?
No, not without composite panels etc etc, not worth the costs involved

Would love to buy wheels soon but other costs need to be incurred first

+1

Could fit a carbon bonnet (sprayed, not bare!) too - any idea how much they go for?
Too much cost

Getting pretty turned on by car **** here, either that or Allen in shorts and wellies, lol

"Hmm I wander if he would like to swap with my interior..."
Interior, whats that???lol

WHERES WILLIE :p
LOL

Team Dynamics in gloss black ;)
Nice but thinking of OZ Ultraleggeras

I've been tempted by these many times but black on black i don't know.
Not too worried about looks TBH. The seats I'm looking at will be black so might end up with a totally black theme

Was good fun, very competitive lower down but loosing out further up the speedo but not as night and day as it was before. Just need to track down a Stage 2 LCR and see how she fairs against it:)

TBH, she's been bringing the smile back recently. As my post in REVO section, i will be shatting myself if I get 50BHP and 50ft-lbs
