I have the skoda fabia setup - this one

On the mk4 you need to hack about 10mm off the end of the arm, and a little off the blade to stop it hitting the 3rd brake light.
I think the polo one looks wierd and the facelift one looks like a banana!
I will take a pic tomorrow.

got it fitted tonight, took 2 mins to take the old one off and put the new one on but found it hard trying to get it to move smoothly or get rid of the squeaking! try again tomorrow i guess

try loosening the nut a little bit as they do not need to be mega tight

Fitted polo rear wiper today!! Cost about £25.00 in the end ,pretty easy to take off ,if you have problems taking the wiper arm off the bolt use a ball joint splitter ,works a treat.

done mine today with the polo one, the cap seemed to click on but it doesnt seem exactly right, what bit would i need to shave (sounds weird :cartman: ) to get it to fit really right on there?

The bit nearest the screen. I had to trim about 5mm off the bottom becuase it kept popping up when I turned the wiper on... and it was scratching the glass too!

the standard facelift rear wiper, along with the fabia one, are normal blades with a cover over them...the polo versions are the new style aero blades and imo clean a lot better

P.S - Neo > you sure that's the fabia rear wiper and not the octavia? it's mahoosive...so much so that it has 2 sections on the cover

It`s from the fabia estate! Longer than the hatchback, but it`s now the same length as the facelift ibiza one after shaving about 10mm off the end.

hey guy, right i've finally folded and got the full polo rear wiper after a years worth of the old steely hook arm and ebay aero retrofit special. i found the wiper arm on my car had a nasty crack on the pivot joint where you lift the wiper up anyway!

took me a while to get the wiper off after loosening the nut off due to rust and soap residue, cleaned up and put the new wiper on.

Now here my problem. my wiper arm is scratching the glass mid wipe, i've loosened the nut a bit but still squeeking. i'm just thinking i'll shave couple of mills off the arm as well as the cap, but does anyone else have this "riding too low" problem?

yeh mate my glass is ****ed at the cap area due to scratching, i tried taking the wiper off to fix it but kinda cant get it off or never tried, 1 of the 2 lol, it nexer used to do it but does now, and it kinda gets annoying as you can hear it now and again, its like someone scratching a chalkboard with there nails eeeeeeeek

Trimming the bottom of the cap where it comes in to contact with the glass is the only way of solving this. I had to trim about 5mm of the bottom of mine! I didn't really do a tidy job but its better than a scratched screen! [:@]

yeah but i'm not talking about the cap, i have that problem too mine you. mine's also scraping on the wiper arm itself :( i've spent about an hour last night shaving about a mil off the wiper arm again, so when the rain stops pounding around here, i'll see if this works

The arm!! Never heard of that before. Bit of trimming and it will be fine then...
