squeeking is usually caused by the nut being on too tight.

i got the Polo wiper on mine, found that it gives a much cleaner swipe than the facelift which never cleaned well on top and bottom edge of the blade

i didn't need to trim the cap at all on mine and no probs whatsoever  check my car thread link in my siggie, got pics of both

mine squeaks like hell, will try loosen bolt to see if it helps, i no longer get an even clean either, the blade skips over a part of the window, mega buggin, never used to do it

Cheers guys, i'll try loosening the nut in a bit.

Been looking at the aero blades on ebay tho,

pretty cheap might be worth a punt

excuse me for resurrecting this thread but i just need a bit more info than what i read on this thread so far! if i wanna get the polo wiper for mine do you need to ask for any specific year of polo etc? and do you just need the arm and the blade or do i need to get anything to convert it to fit the ibiza? or will i just possibly need to trim it to fit like some of you said. thanks :D

the arm and blade will be a direct fit and it seems to be vehicle dependant if the cap needs trimming or not but the cap normally needs about 6mm taking off the bottom (can be done with a small hack saw).

ok i need to pick your brains a bit more! i ordered the cap and arm from VW but they dont recognise the wiper part number, he said it could be a seat part number coz it could be the polo cap and arm, but the wiper blade has to come from seat  i dont wanna ring seat and tell them the wiper blade part number you gave me and it turns out it is VW haha so does anyone know?
