From ebay buddy they're the 15" SX ones, shouldnt be that hard to find on ebay, just keep checking and i'm sure you'll find some. I paid ?150 for mine. You may be able to get them at the stealers but i can imagine they'll be pricey

Cheers bud bought an ipod especially for it. movie playback is spose to be fantastic. just hope the installation isnt the nightamare everybody says it is. cant wait to try it

heh cheers, my original one was quite tatty and needed replacing so i thought i'd get something nice. has a much nicer feel. only set me back ?10 too

yeah i'm quite fond of the alloys too, i think theyre just as nice as the FR/Cupra ones, maybe thats just me heh

Erm which ipod did you buy, because if you want to use it to play videos from it as well, you need an ipod video, well that's what it says with mine anyways!

I think it is buddy, its one of the 30GB 5th generation ones. Only paid ?50 for it off fleabay

Probably going to use divx/dvd discs for the videos anyway, dont really fancy converting them to be fair. be awesome to get family guy on it do you know about the bird?

heh thanks, i didnt know there was that many of us til recently. when i first joined there was only really me and gav1n. its a great colour isnt it?

ive got a black seat sport one (see page one) its unofficial but it looks OEM, really looks nice. only cost around £10 from fleabay. you should buy one and spray it volcano red

yeah i want to colour code the bump strips and handles, should finish it off nicely

stereo is nearly installed just gotta add the frame and connect my rear ipod cable when it comes, it looks and sounds amazing. best HU ive used, props to bigwill for tempting me to get one

A question you might be able to help me with actually. How do you remove the head unit, because I have no clue at all and if I want to add something to the back I don't want to keep going to the shop and pay for them to do it...

heh yeah, one of the reasons why i bought it, its quite funky. i dunno about finding the tunes, my ipod is so unsorted, i really need to sort it out heh. nah theres no visualisations, you can have animated wallpapers but thats it. i can do a swap if you like only joking heh

it is very hard to get out to be honest, the surround frame comes out first and from there you have to guide the sides out with something thin. not the easiest things to remove. good luck buddy

Seeing it in place kinda makes me want one i was looking at getting one from Halfords the other day but the only ones they have stock of are the ones with Sat Nav built in and prices start from a fairly painful £750 does yours have bluetooth built into it as well??

Ahh thanks mate glad you like it buddy. it is a quite unique colour for a mk4, i think theres only around 3 of us on SCN

The stereo is amazing. i got it from the user www-sonicelectronix-com. i really wouldnt buy one from that seller though, he never sent the free gifts i was spose to get, doesnt reply to my messages and never sent the item as a gift so i got screwed over with tax. only drawback with getting one from the USA i can only play copied dvds as originals dont work to to the region lock. yeah halfords choice is pretty poor and they're a rip off. check out caraudiodirect if you want to buy one from the UK. I must admit though the satnav ones are pretty amazing. Mine is bluetooth ready, i would have to buy an addon to use it though

btw if anybodys interested i'm selling my chrome mirror covers

Yeah do NOT go to halfords for that stuff, they will rip you off big time, I have something similar to Stezo with satnav and cost me £550

i still love yours though will, those apps you can get are awesome like the gauges etc plus the guy who installed it did an amazing job, looks a lot neater than mine although i never cut any bits of my dash

Yeah the gauges are cool but not really needed, just an extra, the only one I really look at is the voltmeter now for obvious reasons
You done a good job with yours and saved a bundle doing it yourself as well
