We'll be looking at buying a new house soon after the baby is born if all goes well, so the car might need to be after that. (Thought I may consider PX'ing towards a MK1 Leon FR TDI...)

Fooking hell! Didnt realise it'd had that many views! Woah!

And to think, when I joined I used to look up to Rash and Ad Lav with their uber cool cars - just dreaming that mine could never look like theirs or be cool. And 2 years later.....dare I say it but I've got one of the biggest mods thread going on SCN? And I'm only 20.

Yeah, but whats cool is you have all gone in slightly different directions! Just wish I had the money to do the mods... Have you added up the numbers? Bet you would be shocked!

Nope! It scares me!

Turbo and clutch just now came to £1700 i think! Then the two bumpers were about £200 each, then FMIC was £220, then exhaust was £250, headlining was £100+, wheels were £100 - tyres were £260, suspension was about £450 i think, remap was £200, tints were £170 erm......

There's loads! I'd imagine it'll be around the £5000 mark if im honest! At least!

It's just adam kelly, but he's just had a standard RS Tuning remap to about 170bhp, he's not running a hybrid or anything like that.

don't know if this has been asked before but have you already had the clutch fitted so it has had time to bed in, so it can really be pushed during mapping to get the most out of the hybrid?

or is this not required and your having the clutch fitted at the same time as the hybrid, and/or a "running in map" is firstly done, then after eg. 500 miles, it go back in for a final mapping session to get the most out of all parts?

Close! 10th the turbo and clutch is being fitted, then I'm driving nearly 300 miles to Leeds on 12th to get it mapped - so that should bed it in a bit. And I'll still be using it to go to work and back on the 11th.
