i can see my discussion about the 120 degrees reading on my oil guage has paid off lol!

after a good 10 miles speed test! no mph meantioned lmao, the guage raised from 80ish degree's to 120, with the exhaust temp guage reading 950 oC! extreme heat being made! i think ill not do that again! lol


goos on you ash getting the guage! thogugh im a wee bit confused about your can not having the guage as standard! mines a 03 model

Yer - not sure when I'm gonna get it fitted though! All expense at the moment!

Yours is an 03 model though. That's why it has it! It's from 53> they got rid of it. So from September 03> registered is when they got rid of it. Half way through 2003. I got colour coded door handles and mirrors instead!

Bad times today!

This is no joke, a seagull has **** an atom bomb on my car! I work on an industrial estate and i'm sure any of you will know that seagulls love industrail estates. I have to park near a tall building which seagulls are nesting on top of.

I went out to my car on my lunch break to find a seagull has crapped on my drivers rear quarter. Of course with it being 30 degrees, it'd baked on solid. I instantly got it on the pressure washer and tried to get it off as well as i could. I soaked it and came off, but it's eaten into the lacquer quite badly. Right before show season too!

So now I have a seagull sh1t bull stain on my drivers rear quarter. I've tried all sorts of cutting compounds and polishes, it's made it better but it's still clearly visable in certain lights. You know when it makes the paint dull/flat looking? I have that on my drivers rear quarter! Gutted!

Although - 1 week today til I service my car ready for hybrid!

1 week tomorrow til the clutch/turbo gets fitted.

1 week and 3 days til i gets mapped!

Pigeons arent so bad! It'd much rather have pigeon **** on my car! That doesnt eat into the paint like the seagull stuff.

But that sounds pretty grim too!

I found 2 little spots on my roof on friday too. Coloured T-cut helped loads but you can still see it a little..

ash cant you layer it up with HD wax.. should help a bit

what tints did you get? im thinking of very dark on rear windscreen, then a lighter smoke on the rear windows...dont wanna go to chavvy

ive got a mk4 p130 golf, ready to go hybrid now, just cant choose the tuner its between RsTuning and AMD, the results of yours may sway the decision!

I had some crap all down the side of mine on paint done at xmas wouldnt come off for ages, but gave it a good polish at the weekend hoping to "hide" it and its gone. really inpressed

G3 I used today - it's gone! Gave it some serious abuse and there's not a trace of it left. Chuffed to bits. The only thing is, G3 is a cutting compound so makes the paint a bit dull. Just need to wax it up and get it looking that lovely deep shine again.

Thats what mine is, darkest legal tint of the two front windows, then darker still, then darkest on the back.

Nothing exciting really - just preparation for the hybrid!

ANOTHER oil filter!

Sump bolt (which I'll be changing hopefully for one with a temp sender in)

Manifold gaskets - as hopefully this time the turbo will be going on and staying on - so new gaskets.

Just ordered a new boost gauge pod....twin one.

And a temp sender unit for the sump. So hopefully I can get it all done before I go hybrid.
