tbh mate i think youve pretty much got everything sorted. the only things youll benifit from now would be a bigger turbo, youve already got the majority of the mods needed for it. the garret gt28 i think is capable of up to 350bhp. once you had this then a stage 3 map would be awsome

one quick question how much u pay for the intercooler??

who mapped it and what rollers did you go on?

286bhp is rather optimistic from a k04!

the closest you will get to 300bhp from the standard turbo is to make it into a hybrid

i dont think its too optomistic, ive heard of a k04 with 300bhp, but this is the very limit. problem with going over 290bhp is the manifold become incredibly restrictive youll prob need a new downpipe aswell

ask around with all the long standing members with their LCR's on this site and quote 300bhp to them......

you are living in a dream world if you think you can get 300bhp from a standard k04

technically you could, but the turbo would go pop very quickly, so it would be pointless

im having same dilema. Im thinking either go 300HP. but then you have to change turbo (£900 plus?) and new remap. Not to mention clutch would probably start to go at that point...
Im running around 270 ish at moment, its either i go 300HP, or i wait and save and go either M3 or if i get much in my inheritance, 996 C2S. :D

youll have to change manifold and downpipe aswell if you havnt already, also a bigger intercooler.

if youve already changed the downpipe and manifold then i dont think there is anything else u needa change, obviously you would need another custom map by jabba. id recommend the gt28 as i have hears some good reports about it. i done a bit of work at TSR Performance down in Somerset and we put one into a mk4 golf christ it made a difference.

Easy option is nos! You could get 300bhp from a k04 but it wouldn’t last 5 min as it would be bodged to the eye balls with bleed valves and a funky map. Also to be honest the difference between 280 and 300 on the road is sod all, its only pub bragging rights.

Was you after getting your car to 300 or just want it quicker? If you want it quicker rather than figure related look at things like semi slick tyres, WMI, better mounts or shedding some of the LCR’s chunk

i have done everything possible basically to get the most bhp with the stage 2 custom code map turbo back exhaust, intercooler, filter, air feed, hoses 007p, brand new k04 turbo, every sensor on the car is brand new, serviced. running fine with no problems at all. so i dont see how this can be any different to anybody else who has done the same mods!! 290 is very optimistic.. and over 300 isnt possible i wouldnt of though even with a hybrid 300 is probably the realistic average. Wouldt believe these places who remap your car and put it on the dyno and say its now 500 bhp because obviously they are going to get the best figures so your happy! you would be pretty p!ssed off if you just spent £ 300-400 and got very little improvement or not even the figures stated. there is so much difference in the bhp with the same car from people getting 240 250 with stage 1 to people with 275. i think realisticlly and so do many specialists i have spoken to including who done my remap custom code, realisticaly 270 from a stage 2 would be about right, which is what im getting on the race diagnostic gauage. WHAT MORE CAN I POSSIBLY DO! for people to say they are getting 275 from stage 1 its just a load of made up dyno lottery figures to impress!! if you want to be sure get it rolling roaded at a few places and dont tell them any mods or remap that have been done then they cant figure out what the figures should be around. And over 300 bhp the clutch and internals would need uprating at least. So if you are going to try for over 300 you may aswell go the whole way and go for 400 with a big turbo kit capable of this and uprate the internals as you would have to uprate them to even 350bhp.

mine is showing around 270 bhp on the race diagnostic gauge and over 310 ftlbs i havnt really took much notice havnt used the car alot since i had the new map/gauge.

Its still alot of power to put down through the front wheels so get some good tyres and a dog bone mount improves the power transfer to road.
