Just to help out. The crank spins on main bearings. The rod bearings onto the crank are big end bearings. AUM pistons are 19mm pins. Get the crank checked, balanced and polished if needed.

Dont go largeport. Will be worse than the smallport for that size of turbo. Better off getting the smallport polished. No need for arp headbolts/headstuds. Std ones are fine. Valves and springs are dependant on how much you want to spend. Go for Supertech valves and titanium springs and retainers. Looking around £800 though. Headport is £750 inc skim and fitting valves with new guides if needed.

Red lube is Torco engine assembly lube.

Why got plenty of help as i aint doing this Blind as my mates a mechanic who rebuilt his phase 3 Let...Plus your gay and from wales :D xxxx

Just got In from picking up my AUM 20vt Full Bottom End..

Has only covered 36k miles and it looks in mint condition tbh.I Opted not to get the sump as im gonna get a Jabbasport baffled sump IRRC Anyway Tomorrows Jobs is to strip it all down and Clean and & paint it up..

Is it really need to uprated my valves and Springs on a td05-16g? Seems a few people are running standard ones on gt28s...

Proper excited for you mate...lol...I love looking at rebuild threads if you got the money to uprate valves and springs then do it for peace of mind i would...is it me or does piston 1 or 4 depending which way look like its had some scorth marks on it from deternation or pinking forget which...??

Depends how far i go....To make it a 1.9 20vT Without springs and Valves Is just Shy of £700 Near £1,000 With them

The Piston Heads Do look Fine and the Bores are un marked to which is added Bonus...Going to Started Baggin and Stripping it down this afternoon

that is cheap as chips!

cracking deal, and really nice thing to try for yourself, if you have the time and space.

i think its awesome what your doing mate, im sure someone else on here has got 1.9 20vt with wossner pistons? i would love to do stuff like what ur doing but dont have the skill and knowledge to do so. good luck with it all :)

I didn't know you sold them Sir Alex:D

Also what Socket bit do i need to take the bolts out of the Rods to take it off the crank..Looks a weird Shape...

Looking at the front of the engine Which cylinders are which

Have a look in the BD section for the baffled sumps. On the AUM rods they will be an 'E' Torx bit. Cant remember the exact size. Cyl 1 is cambelt side.
