ok first thing don't laugh, when i first got the ibiza in november it had a misfire so changed leads, plugs etc, anyway just got back from picking up my new wheels, well nearly back went to go round a corner and all of a sudden it sounded like **** and cut out.

so popped the bonnet and noticed the ht lead had come off went to put it back on and the spark plug was missing!, walked down the road and found it but it had been run over lol, so got a lift to halfrauds to buy one but they only sell in packs for 4 now

oh well at least ive got 3 spare now

I know when you put spark plugs in you don't do them too tight coz of their fine thread, but did you at least give them a good nip up. how long ago did you change them anyway

thats what i did, i did them tight but not over tight and that was in november, checked the others and all were still tight

yeah but ive still got the old ones but have noticed they are very black, and sometimes the car smells of petrol overfueling? or something? what would cause it?
