Hi Ash, heres what I think those problems are, had same ones on my 1.8T golf some time ago:

Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249): Mechanical Malfunction

The N249 valve may need changing, or you could just do a search on here for the N249 by-pass which will take the N249 completely out of the equation, which will result in more response when you put your foot down, and should hold boost better, or you could change the valve if you prefer.

Pressure Drop between Turbo and Throttle Valve (check D.V.!)

This my friend is a "classic" fault that is quite common, try and change it for a Forge 007p Diverter Valve. Youll notice that ALOT of forum members will be running the forge. Its a re-circulating valve just like the standard one. but alot lot stronger, and holds boost better and gives you a faster response on gear change. Or you could try adjusting the turbosmart if poss ??

Charge Pressure Control: Negative Deviation

This one im not too sure of mate.. but im sure others will add to this thread. i hope the above helps though.
