thank you for your support.
Ibiza 1,4 TDI, maybe you meant me, talking bad about p-torque although i have never dealt with him.
To explain: I never questioned any service or if he is a good/nice fellow or friendly and helpful.
But those things have nothing to do with quality of software and where/how he gets it done...that was all i was pointing out for....

By the way, the Seat Sport FMIC works much better than the one from Forge.

I understand that Ash. My concerns are that a turbo was sourced FOR you, sent off for conversion and fitted by PT who didnt know it was the wrong one. Surley the invoice will say what it is???? This is what corncerns me!
Then whilst custom mapping, not notice that the car is "overboosting" and going into limp home mode???
If the car was tested on completion this would have been apparent!

I wasn’t attacking you, just making a general comment for this thread, I was trying to put the point across that I have never had any issues with dealings with them and a mate of myn who had a remap done by P-torque is over the moon with it and has been from day one, so I have never had any problems with products/services given by P-torque, my mate has never had any issues so the service/product is good. I know what you mean about how friendly he is having nothing to do with the service but if you get on with the tuner it makes everything easier.
To be fair, it didn't go into limp mode while overboosting, it only seemed to go into limp mode 9/10 when there was a constant high pressure inside the turbo - e.g. pulling the car up hills. Only once did it go into limp mode from booting it. But then I suppose that's only the same as booting it on the rollers - if it went on the rollers.
You're more than welcome at any of the shows!
I can see what you're saying there, but by you saying "I have never had any issues with dealings with them and a mate of myn who had a remap done by P-torque is over the moon with it and has been from day one."
But can you tell me well whats the difference between saying that and then someone else saying "Ive heard bad things about P-Torque" "My mate had a map from p-torque its ****?"
That doesnt mean Im saying P-torque are **** btw! I'm just reversing the situation. So you're saying that its ok for good feedback to be left and for the people on here to go to any company only hearing the good feedback?
You know I have nothing against you in person fella as we've talked plenty of times before - I'm just trying to make you see what I'm getting at! It's swings and roundabouts - if you have good experiences, you leave good feedback. You have bad experiences, you leave bad feedback.
true, if youve had a bad experiance it is fair to leave bad feedback, and had good experiance (as i have) leave posative feedback, the point i was trying to make is when youve never used the service you shouldnt leave feedback if that makes sence.
but you are fair and correct in what you say, if you have a bad experiance you have the right to leave bad feedback
just out of curisity? i wonder why my hybrid ibiza doesnt pigeon noise much, you can maybe hear a very fant wooo but only at very low boost in second gear while changing into 3rd, surely it should be louder if a standard turbo with decat milteck non resonation pigeon noises away, mine does barely? wonder why this is?
Thanks for understanding and yes I understand where you're coming from. As I've said 10000000000000000000000000000's of times, not a dig at anyone. Just I want you guys to understand where I'm coming from.
Cheers!
does anyone else have the same thing as me? with near minimal pigeon noise?
does anyone else have the same thing as me? with near minimal pigeon noise?
fair enough buddy, and as said before nice car and lookin forward to seeing more progress, what have you decided to do on the clutch front?
Mine smokes quite bad as well now
Me! On my standard KKK And when I had the PD130 hybrid, there was no pigeon noise!
Cheers!
Think I've got to go for Helix clutch with SMF setup. I dont want to go for the SMF but tbh, for what i want, it's pretty much the only option!
whats the cost for that if you dont mind me asking??
Not cheap! I had this setup in once already! Long story.
I think it'll be the best part of £800-£900!
i was going to wait and get a diff at the same time whilst the gearbox is out
that will cost another £1000 on top i bet.
oh well time to rob a post office then..
HAHA! Bit extreme!?
A cheap LSD would be £1000.....
