Standard shifter bracket

You can see where the back of the pin has been rivited over to stop it coming out. I ground it back a few mm so that I could knock the pin out with a punch.

Looks wicked, how hard was it to do? What tools are needed mate

Very easy to do if you have the skills.

Tools used:

Grinder with flapping wheel to grind the back off the pin.
Hammer and punch to knock the pin out.
8mm drill to re drill the new hole.
Drill and tap set (4.2mm drill and M5 tap set)(I used a center lathe to when drilling to keep everything straight).
M5x10mm button head bolt and spring washer (pluss some loctite).

Hope this helps mate :)

Nice mate have you had it on yet?? hows it feel??

Yea, its on mate. Fitted it straight after I made it :)

It feels good but I think I will do some adjustment with it as I feel the 40% reduction is a little too much. I'm going to make it to about 20% reduction when I'm back at work through the week.

No, topmount bearings sit on top of the springs mate.

Made another hole in the shifter bracket as I think the reduction (~-40%) was a little too much, so its now about -25% reduction and the feel of the shift is totaly OEM too :D

Just read all 28 pages... My eyes hurt.

Just thought I'd say thanks for the link you posted months and months and months ago for the wee tiny aerial, did a bit of searching from that and got one from eBay there now!

Thanks!

Lovely car.
