wisejason Any chance you could post your thoughts after fitting the THS DBM with OEM Tops?

Something that I am definitely interested in and I'm sure it will be useful for others too.

Send an email to [email protected] and he'll sort you out. He also emailed me details of a proposed group buy for the full FR3 engine mounting system and it was a massive saving. I posted it up but it got deleted by Admin.
If you want to do a group buy, email an admin with your suggestions and prices etc and see what they say. I did one for INA and it was very successful

Cheers JS. Had an email from Ollie this morning, he's trying to get in touch with 'The powers that be' himself but has so far had no response. We'll see what happens. Looks like you might have to be a sponsor.

If he's doing the asking then he will have to be a sponsor, if your doing the asking he won't have to be. If you do it through the right channels then it will be alloud, it just takes a wee bit of time

...sorry mate. For some reason I didn't see this post. I still haven't got round to fitting the mount but as soon as I do I'll post some feedback.

EDIT: altough it looks lke James might be able to give feedback sooner.

well it took, 25 mins to fit... easy as tbh

good piece of kit.

undo 4 bolts, hold engine up with trolley jack...
redo new mount with new bolts.

job done, havent really driven it yet, but no and i mean no vibrations on start up

Ats good James TBH you don't even need the engine to be held up. It only moves a very small amount when undone and can be pushed back into place on refitting the DBM.

Is it as stiff as you'd liked being 30% stiffer that the OE part?

right, just done a bit od driving with the new mount.... very good i would say.

lift off judder gone, feels like its got much more grip.

no cabin vibration.

my milltek dp and cat vibrated when cold before, it vibrates a bit more now until warm.

exhaust note seems louder when on throttle..... strange that

anyways well worth the money and again, zero vibrations in the cabin.

p.s, held engine up to make sure i didnt lose the alignment, easy enought o do so thought id make sure.

yh i got my THS DBM fitted the other day and i have to say its a great improvement especially for the money, like i can actully use my 1st and 2nd gears now without the wheel judder and theres no extra vibrations at all
