I contact SEAT about which fuel to use before ordering my Cupra and the answer was 98+ RON, that goes for the FR petrol as well.

Hey dude welcome on scn. What SEAT's are you looking at?

Do need to come down to a TA mate, dunno if im gonna go for mental bass in this car though as I dont want a huge box slowing me down and decreasing my fuel economy! And im loving the fact that the car hasnt got any rattles at the moment!

Might just use one re se12 in a sealed box tbh, but who knows I keep changing my mind everyday!

Currently looking at Leon/Ibiza 1.9 TDI, comfort and economy is key as this will be by daily drive to work car and holiday car ect. I'll put a very simple system into it nothing too loud.

A really big system will rattle the car to bits and break the car over time unless you do lots of cabin reinforemcent with sound deadening.

I have a Megane Saloon as my daily but soon to be religated to sound car only!

It is damn heavy (over 200 kgs of deadening and audio) has no boot due to haveing a 11 cubic foot 6th order tunnel and is damn loud with 3KW to 4 x Fi CarAudio SSD12's.

I'm looking forward to getting a new car, hopefully looking to get it over the next few months.

I'll keep my eye out for you at meets/shows.

Wow would love to hear that! Have heard big wills 2 x fi ssd12's with 1500rms in a ibiza and that is nice, so yours in the megane would be something else!

Between the two I would go with the leon as it has a better chassis and is bigger.

Still seen no better than 25mpg from the cupra for those who are interested.

btw aparently you can no longer order a k1 from the factory! SEAT have stopped making them!

I have met big wills at the last London meet and heard his setup, it is nice but needs a good loud front end and some power supply work. Mine is quite an upgrade over his.

Cheers for the advice! I'll be test driving them all, a 1.6 petrol may be on the cards if it feels much nicer to drive.

I'm most likely going to The Pod in May so catch you there!

nope honestly im babying it around trying to see what the best mpg I can get. My near daily drive does involve going up and down a few hills, traffic lights and some traffic!

Say you are doing 30 or 40 would you use 5th gear?

Yeah his front end is letting him down at the moment but he will get round to that eventually.

I think you might prefer the 1.9tdi tbh, unless a 1.4 tsi is also an option?

Cool Im pretty certain that I will be at the pod so will be nice to meet you. Will you be in the megane loaded with subs?

Had my White 09 K1 for just over a week now and I love it!

The best MPG I have had so far is 25.5 round town but she only has 600 miles on her so I am hoping it will go up a bit once it's run in.

That said I am partial to prodding the right toe a bit much ;)

Around that sort of speed i would be in 3rd or 4th as the engine is really torquey

oh ok, I stick mine in 5th at 40. Just wondering how others drive theirs when looking to get good mpg returns.

Went out tonight and saw 30mpg for the first time

Car has done 307 miles now [B)]

don,t get too hung up on mpg matey. Remember you need to give it somes beans as well - don,t sit at the same revs for mile after mile as it will not be good for the engine.

If you were worried about MPG.. then i dont think you would of bought a K1 :D

Just enjoy the car as what it was built for ! :)

Well that's what im going to do when i get mine!

not worried about mpg in the slightest, the k1 is just My toy. Its just that I know how fast it goes, now I want to see how frugal it can be also!

blimey, i didn't know this. So its Cupra's only then. I'm sure theres still more milage left in the areo kit. Maybe the face lift Cupra will be more unique this time.
