Glad your liking the car mate.
Once its ran in nicley id defo get the revo, the car just goes to another level.
and i agree about the audio its pretty crap as for mpg about 25 - 30 over the course of a tank but at the end of the day i couldnt care less about that.

Didnt expect this thread to be on page 3!

Been driving it all day since I last posted.

MPG is now up to 25. Reckon I will get about 27mpg with easy everyday driving, which isnt far off what I was getting in my 1.4 ibiza. I dont do any motorway driving btw.

Oh and as soon as you floor it the mpg on the computer just drops lol.

Started doing the spacer mod myself untill I realised I had to take off a fair bit of small pipework to get to the 3rd screw. So thought fook this and just took it up to amd essex who squeezed me into their scedule :D. Also had a listen to one of their race cars and saw a fellow scn member up there.

As for the spacer mod, novelty wears off quickly lol, its not overly loud or anything like that but maybe in hindsight I would have been better off putting that money towards a proper induction kit.

Picked my girl and her mate up today also and they love it. My girl thought the car was a 3 door also lol. Car gets plenty of looks, if you dont want people looking at you and your car dont get a k1 lol.

Anyway absolutely love the car,and I swear its getting quicker with the more mileage I put on it.

Howdy Chap.

Nice to see your thoughts on it after you have had for a while.

Decent boot size for audio, hopefully chatch you at a TA meet sometime for a look.

I'm wanting good economy so a Leon K1 is not exactly what I am looking for.

Hey dude welcome on scn. What SEAT's are you looking at?

Do need to come down to a TA mate, dunno if im gonna go for mental bass in this car though as I dont want a huge box slowing me down and decreasing my fuel economy! And im loving the fact that the car hasnt got any rattles at the moment!

Might just use one re se12 in a sealed box tbh, but who knows I keep changing my mind everyday!

Cant see how your getting such low mileage whilst your running it in mate.....

(is your right foot feeling heavy????)

The lying B**tard (trip computer) told me I was getting 38mpg whilst I was running it in, but then I was trying to run it in gently.

It now says about 30-34 mpg most days and around 30-26 mpg when I push on a little.

Agree,

Put 99 ron stuff in and you will see a difference after a tank or two. I prefer Tesco 99 ron (don't confuse this with the inferior 97 that tesco sell in some areas) over v power but either or.

Get it mapped, you will wonder why you waited.

running in, dont VAG bench test all their engines for like 20,000kms before sticking them into the cars? The car does get stick when im showing my mates but other than that its being grannied along as I want to see what the best mpg I can get from purely town driving.

TBH with the places I drive to I doubt I will see over 30mpg, the ibiza would do 34mpg at best over the same route.

Really wouldn,t run 95 in her - it won,t save you any money and it will dent the performance.

I dunno mate, im not overly convinced that I would see much or any benefit from a higher ron fuel when running the generic map. I will give it a try though and see for myself :)

My Cupra ran like a dog even on Sainsbury's super.

The way I thought of it was V-Power was only something like £2.50 a tank more and when you've spend £20,000 on a car isn't a lot really

I think Tesco 99 makes the car perkier but both are good. I tried Sainsbury 97 ron stuff a number of years ago on my Mk1 Cupra and it was as flat as a pancake. I then put Optimax back in and she was back to her usual self. lol

Make sure the Tesco stuff is 99ron. It will say on the pump.

I get 300 to 350+ miles from a tank, as long as the mway cruise is below 3,000 rpm fuel economy is acceptable with a car offering this performance. I use Tesco 99 as tthey ar local to me at work and home. If you have to ever put 95 Ron in the car is not as keen at all :-(
