Hey ChrisMansell - It cost me £1128 for the KW variant 1 coilovers kit and eibach anti-roll bars. it was £190 fitting, incl alignment. ABR's fitted for free when done at same time as suspension.
The only bad news for you is that KW has increased the price of it's coilover kits by about £150 in the last couple of weeks. I was lucky i got my order in before the price increase. Apparently due to the falling pound against the euro.
PS - i'm having a lot of fun with the new set-up. also braking and accleration are slightly improved due to less dive and squat.
next up are big brakes - about £1600 but might also get spacers to improve the stance of the car.
Is it really that much better?
I've just picked up my new FR and absolutely loving it.
The firm ride doesn't bother me too much but I think it deffintely needs a soften to improve the WAG appeal of the car. Plus any handling improvements is a bonus!
I'm happy to drop ~1k on improving the ride, especially if it lowers it a bit. But is the difference really noticable? Behind the wheel I may notice a difference but it matters that girlfriend in the passenger seat notices the softer ride too.
Also is it possible to retro fit the cupra suspension into the FR? I hear the cupra suspension is much better and surely straight forward to get hold of from seat and retro on the FR.
