I'm on optional 18" aswell. The ride is definitely less harsh than standard. The grip is a lot better, you have to try it to believe it. There is also less hopping when you wheelspin when pulling away. you won't need the ABR's to experience the extra grip. ABR's keep it flatter and reduces the understeer near the car limit (from my experience with them so far). The lower stance improves the look of the car to no-ends.
Have 10mm spacers going on to widen the stance in about 3-4 weeks, when i get my 4-pot brembo's fitted. The wheels on a standard car look a little deep inside the wheel arch. could get bigger spacers but 10mm should suffice.
