i've done that too; i think that is because the thread go tight before the sender is the entire way in, and i've used ptfe tape which is probably insulating it!
snap!

no probs
Im on a new project now lol, this thread was only started in October and I've finally got the gauges I want in and working lol - a guide might help other people do it a bit quicker!
Next venture is spraying a sunglasses holder like this beauty:
........all little additions whilst saving for the cc remap
Its Golf MK4 - either dealer or:

I feel someone else spraying one soon too lol - spray mine for me at the same time
Ohhh nice,I may have to pop to VW on the weekend,I also need to go to Skoda!
Yeah I will have ago at spraying it! Shouldn't be to hard!!!! ha...
I bet it will be a whole lot easier than those gauges!
Hopefully the chrome piece that needs to be red comes off somehow - easy peasey then
Well picked up my boost gauge today, went to halfords and got the autogauge one looks pretty good when its lit up, just tested it before fitting, need to get a holder now for it tho. Well worth the £19.99 well minus the 2.5% vat
Or you can just sand it down! then paint red!
Im crap at doing little bits, always lose patience and it messes up lol - I'll have a bash.
Yeah guna do it matt black once ive found a guage pod, apart from nomad where do you get your gauge pods from? Had a look on fleaby, would a universal one fit ok orbeing universal is it a crap fit and you have to cut it to sit right.
