It is probably the brass pipe that connects the fluid feed to the nozzle which runs through the centre of the motor spindle. Common weakness - it corrodes then snaps.
If your nozzle moves with the wiper arm it's f**ked
VAG parts sell a repair kit for it.
got to that stage, just want to know if the unit comes off....it looked a bit stuck in as its the rubber seal through the window if that makes sense?
yeah the motors fine but have just noticed a slight damp patch below the 12v power outlet so am going to have to take some of the boot apart
Got this problem on my fr. \i can hear the pump working away but no water coming through. As far as I can see everything is connected fine in the tailgate could the blockage be near the 12v outlet as mentioned.? Thanks

HI all just thought i would add to this.
I had the same problem with mine! I tried to get the boot lid of but gave up! lol instead i put on my back washers jet until i knew were the problem was. i formed a damp patch near the 12v socket on the left hand side in the boot over the wheel arch. Once i knew were it was i unscrewed the 2 screws on the left and pulled back the carpet. Then i unclipped the part that the parcel shelf clips onto so i could get access to the pipe, i could see clearly were it had popped off and just pushed it back in! Its really easy to do!
If anyone needs any advice or would like me to put some pics up of the process then let me know
I will get some pics up this weekend!
