Today i chopped all the relevant bits needed to fit the gauge pod. Quite happy with how it went as some i've seen have been done poorly. Just need another gauge to fill it now.

My TT bushes should be fitted in the wishbones either today or tomorrow, and my warrenty came back from Quaife today too :)

I couldn't wait 'til christmas so i got the voltmeter plumbed in this afternoon. The wiring side took me a while (as i hate it) but i got there in the end! Only thing that'll annoy me is the whole for another gauge.

Hey im looking at dropping a 1.8t in my cordy along with the front end of a mk3 (or facelift w/e you call it) and the dash from the cupra. Do you need any of the front subframe or anything off the cupra or is it just a case of changing the mounts over, and if i bought the bits seperatly do you happen to know if the front panels (i.e bonnet, wings and bumper as well as lights) will just swap straight over?

thanks for any help and your car looks great, love the interior.

im currently breaking an ibiza cupra.

i have several fron panels you will need.

you can use original subframe. front panels are basicly a stright swap. small mods to front panel.
the one im selling has already been modded for a mk2

nice work Martin, what guages do you have?

Cheers Dan, they're Auto Meter Phantom gauges. I think i need to get some LED's for them though just to brighten up the display.

Wishbones and ball joints should be fitted christmas eve :)

New wishbones and bushes are now all fitted thanks to Ben and a bit of workshop time on christmas eve. The drive is much better already, alot quieter and more responsive. The camber and tracking still needs fine tuning but that'll happen once the diff is in and it's got new tyres.

I adjusted the front coilovers up a bit as the car was squatting badly. Still now sure on the height though, i'll get some pictures up in the next few days.

Also ordered it a nice christmas present that should arrive in time for my birthday :)

I'm at work all weekend :( I'm going to have a search for pictures of different Mk2's on 16's on here, just to compare.

Cheers Hooch.

It's still not in yet but next on the list to do. It's having the car off the road that's causing the problem. I've been given a car that i'm picking up at the weekend so the diff should be in soon, should hopefully know by the weekend exactly when.

My harnesses arrived this week, and hopefully my seats will arrive within the next week or so.

The car is now off the road to have the engine stripped due to smoking issues, so all the piston rings and valve stem seals will be replaced, along with uprated rods going in at the same time. I'm going to fit a bigger battery as the Odyssey one has let me down a few times over the past month.
