OK, so here it is finally.
Had it a couple of months, not done that much really, just little bits and tidying up, gone through 3 front number plates (long story).
But im loving every minute of it :D nice n fast and economical aswell :)

I would try and do a spec list but it would probably take up 2 full pages :D I havnt done all the mods infact not many of them to be honest but since owning it i have had most of it in pieces just trying to get it that little bit closer to how i want it :funk:
Let me know what you think.
All the pics are pretty dark because i work stupid long hours and rarely see the sunshine this time of year :(

It was previously owned by someone on here but his name wasnt max???
Ok i lied about power  its 197 really haha but close enough i think :D
Im not too bothered about figures at all tbh, it drives very nice indeed which is the main thing for a daily driver.
Torque and power in the right places and no nasty spikes in the map, and monsters most things on the straight bits so im happy :D

Whats his username tho? Sure it was Maxcar1?

C-C dont quote 197bhp from your set up, so im interested to see what power mods you have mate? Where was it RR'd? Got the graph?

If its a 100pd CC only quote about 130bhp.

Guinness off here had a CC stage1 on his 100pd and it made 136bhp...

haha :D not bothered if its 5bhp haha, the way it goes makes me smile everytime and i think it feels that fast, only raced a couple of things really. RX8 off the lights and i messed it up really by letting the wheels spin up but it was very close, i was closing on him when i got traction. and a DC2 teg which i monstered on the straight bits :funk:
hope you like it anyway because i think its mega :funk:
Never thought i would buy an oil burner but it really is a nice drive. and if you want to relax it is very chillin off boost :D

Mate I wasnt saying it didnt have those figures.

This is the same car as from Lincoln, I knew the guy rather well, however its basically a PD130 now, with a remap, and C-C still dont quote that power, infact I had their remap and didnt have 200bhp!

As you say, its the driving that is the good part :)

You should have popped ya name down on the RR day in leeds mate, always good to get a 2nd graph :D

Its been owned and modded by two people since then though so has come on a long way, anyways back to the point so to speak :D

BigWill, Thanks.
Yeah i considered a few options for where to put the gauge, since owning the car i cant think of a time when i had used those vents, i always have it on "AUTO" "ECON" mode at about 22degrees :D and hardley anything comes out of those dash vents.
I unatached the ducting that goes to that vent and covered the end over and secured it out of the way so it cant rub on anything.
The gauge itself works really well after i reduced the bore size of the pipe to stop the needle vibrating.

All my point was, the mods you have wouldnt support that power (for long) I should know, as I had almost the same set up on mine, with a crazy smokey remap and made 202bhp. But the standard turbo doesnt like it for long mate.

Havnt seen this car in a few years now however, so will have to get to a meet :)

Got to love the black on a MK4, I used to have one but was a bugger to keep clean and that wasnt even a diesel!

No probs matey
Ill dig the reciept out for my turbo later, it isnt a standard one by any means :D
I havnt even got traction control haha so i think a diff will be my next mod [B)]

Yeah i love the black but it is so bad for keeping clean, i wash it atleast twice a week, mainly flood lit aswell cos its dark all the bloody time when i get out of work :(
When it is freshly waxed it looks great though :D

I did go to a meet a while ago but i work all the time so will be hard to get to another for a while. :(

lovely looking car mate, really stealthy!! and best colour aswell :cam:

have seen a few people fit their boost gauge in that air vent, and have always wondered, can you actually see it very well? I ended up buying the nomad a-pillar for my cupra and put the boost gauge in there

Thanks mate, yeah the plan has always been to keep it stealthy, just put some new tyres on it, was gonna change the wheels for some nice 17s but decided i liked the stealthy look of the 16s and the ride is nice with the bigger profile tyre of the 16.

Boost gauge, well it did have a crappy normal bulb on the back of it which would have lit it up white/yellow i guess but it A.wasnt bright enough and B. didnt match the interior.
So i removed the bulb and holder and modded it to accept 2 red LEDs and it is now just bright enough, can see it perfectly fine although i know what you mean, with it down there you do take your eyes of the road for a second to see it but i have angled it slightly more towards myself so it is fine. I just wanted it really because i have been strugling with boost leaks due to the rise in presure so just wanted to keep an eye on it.
