so would i be correct in saying no ibizas come with areo rear wipers, also any update on where i can get direct fitting fronts for a 06 onwards car i.e. not retro fit ones

no mk4 ibiza have aero wipers on the rear as standard. facelift mk4 have them on the front

Local SEAT dealer will be the same price retail. blag them for discount as retails near £30

Ahhh, ok, so in effect all i'd need to replace is the blades (on the front), as you would normally do.....

yep part numbers for the front is 6L2955425C and 6L2955426A = 12.48 + v.a.t each

or £29.33 inc vat for the pair

fair enough, cheers guys....
thanks for the picture.

ok one last question.... people have said to get the polo aero, but the cap needs a little trimming. if he polo one is the same product as the ibiza one and other models on VAGparts, how come the cap needs trimming? cheers

because the one on vagparts listed for the ibiza is just the polo one in a different bag. so in effect if you order the polo one or the ibiza one you will get the right one.

you will have to trim the cap on either. it needs about 6mm taking off the bottom of it

thanks st10587

i've just ordered one.

Fitted the front aeros too. work much better. the passenger one does sit slightly off the windscreen at the very end when its parked, but wipes fine... noticed my mothers 08 plates passenger wiper is at rest a little higher on the windscreen than mine.

i'd rather have mine parked at the bottom and slightly lifted than parked up there though, so im pleased!

I bought one of the polo wipers and trimmed the cap but still pops off, and unfortunatly the plastic bit which is closest to the cap has bloody scratched my window any suggestions apart from the obvilous of having to trim the arm plastic

fitted mine no problem, other than the old one being a bit siezed on.

cap fit over and clicked on and i thought ha those people on the forum are wrong, for once!

tried it.... POP!

i pulled the cap off, trimmed 5mm all round its base with a stanley knife, popped back on, and its fine.

works way way better than my old one.

had to adjust my front aeros as the passenger side one was coming to rest too low and hitting the wing every few wipes!

well pleased though.

all i can suggest for you is maybe you haven't trimmed enough off the cap if its still popping. compare it to your old one, its quite a lot larger!
