hi have you got any details on the bezel and how you fitted it

cheers

Hey FR SAM

Yeah i do have the details for the bezel. Its custom made from black PVC. I measured up the vent and drew up the bezel with CAD. PM me your email address and ill email you the .pdf files (I dont know how or where i can upload a .pdf so that you can just link to it). The drawings were made scale 1:1 so you just print out the drawing (checking with a ruler or vernier that your printer printed to scale) and then get someone to cut out the bezel shape using a router. I used 2 x 3mm thick PVC plates stuck together to make the bezel. The drawings will explain in more detail though.

I will do a brief post on how to fit the bezel. Its does require some fiddling with the vent surround but it all fits together really nicely

hey awesome gauge install with both but i do like the one by the vent...

thank you
Dave.C it the gauge came with a instruction manual, here is the link to the .pdf of the manual

The instructions are for Audi A3 but the Leon is basically the same.

could you send it to me please ????

i want to see if i can fit my defi gauge int he vent too ;)

Sure thing leviathan, you would just need to adjust the size of the hole for the gauge to seat (excuse the pun :D) in the bezel. Maybe by pure luck the sizes will be right in the first place. Good luck. Will send drawings ASAP

forwarded the email to you mate save you waiting :p

Thanks Dave.C :) im a bit slow on the replies it seems? Hope you get the drawings in good order Rob! I wanted to do it on the CNC at work too but we so buzy the thing doesnt get a break, and i wasnt willing to pay R400/h to use the thing. So a friend did it free of charge for me with his router.

Cant wait to see everyones progress!

P.S. Rob the dimensions on the bezel were a trial and error result so i still had some sanding and filing to get it to fit snug. Hope you can come right with the bezel done in a metal (ALU?) Goodluck, shouldnt need too much finishing to get them to seat neat in the vent housing.
