My story starts with VW, I had a MK2 Polo for my first car, but sadly rust got the better of her and i started looking for a MK4 Polo 1.6 but they were still highly priced then and high miled. I already knew SEAT were similar to VW and so when one day on my way home from uni i saw an alpine white 1.4 for sale i stopped and had a look. A week later i owned it. The 1.4 was great but i'd always wanted a golf GTi and started to look for a new car about a year later.
I couldnt afford a golf and i found SCN at the same time, and i also found an immaculate tornado red MK2 GTi for sale here that was located in cardiff. Not even thinking i skipped work and went down the next day with the cash and came back with it! I then sold the white 1.4 and loved the GTi to bits, it was my little baby, until 6 months later at my first proper SCN meet she got rear ended and written off. Nothing can describe how gutted i was!
Next up i finally got my MK4 polo!!!!! I had her 5 months before i needed more power and on the night of my birthday i called off the celebrations to go and buy the Cordy! She was the best drivers car i've ever had and looked fastastic! Unfortunatley buying a house meant i could no longer afford to keep her and the girlfriend wanted her gone as she was costing a lot to run
I was about to just get rid of the girlfriend over the car (obviously), when i spotted my current low mileage GTi on Ebay. I made a compromise with the mrs and went to put a deposit on her the next day. Now had her 3 months and i'm back in love, but i want this one to go on a positive and move onto something newer and more upto date next year. The GTi will have to go to a SCN member that will have to sign an oath to look after her, OR it may just be going to my girlfriend who to has fallen in love with it!
