looking mint Rob. I'm seiously tempted to run the pipe work straight into the throttle like you,ve done and avoid the extra double bend. I can't be bothered with the battery relocation though.
On another note i see that throttle body spacers are popular with the Dodge Hemi Guys that claim quite a few extra horses due to the extra fill volume they provide and the swirling effect of the intake air.
Hope the initial run goes well.
Bill the best things in life come to those who wait, pity your RR ain't up and running as i'd like a before and after run.;)

RobDon...nice install. It is the ideal way of setting up the TB plumbing.

Willy, forget the TB spacer; only helps on naturally aspirated cars. Hardly any merit on a boosted application.

Looking forward to seeing you on KH next year
Cuprabaz is getting his car ready too, along with OwenLCR and his MK2 Cupra with Quaiffe and hammer GIAC remap.
It'll be good to see all of these on the track next year

Ah OK, i thought I may have stumbled around a few extra horses for a couple of cents, back to the drawing board on that one then. :)
Don do you have any info on the likely gains of upgrading from an 80mm TB to a 90mm one and at what sort of bhp figures do you beieve its a worthwihile upgrade. (appologies Rob for interupting your build thread).

I was able to re-use the Forge hose on the other side, all I needed was a 150mm alloy pipe to join it to the reducer and go over the radiator hose, all worked out great, I only had to buy a couple of new hoses and one alloy pipe.

Received this today from Tristan @ Ted Johnston SEAT:

It's the short oil filter union that allows me to fit the oil cooler adapter plate, the standard one is way too long because it has to go through the water cooler. Rather than chop up the stock one I got the right one for the job! Got a new timing belt cover too as mine is quite badly marked up.

The red one will be by far the quickest:p

Rob, you must be pleased with how the whole busted GT2X saga has panned out? It certainly looks the business;)

Rob when is it going to be remapped or tweaked?

I will be very interested to see what gains you get from the reworked turbo

Well yes and no. Yes in that the hybrid GT2X is far better than the original but no because ATP products are such poor quality and fell apart in the first place. But the end result is great! :D

I'll get Jim to look at the map sometime over the winter, but I'm in no hurry to have it dyno'd, feels fantastic on the road and that's what matters.
