I seem to attract the 535D guys, and they are bloody fast:confused:

Had two proper go's against them and was very suprised.

One of them left me at the lights as I was trying to find the ESP button!
When I caught up it was fairly even.
0-60 is the same as the Cupra, 6.4s

Had a "do" with a type "r" this morning, I bet he wished he never did:lol:

Same here, I was gaining on him (started off 1-200m behind) all the way to 130 (private runway).
I thought they were faster.

I saw a person walking to Tesco's (other supermarkets are available) so I walked slightly faster and ended up winning him.

He had much better trainers on than me, I was well impressed. :ban:

i had a similar experience Chris, i was going round lakeside (other indoor shopping centres are available) with my daughter in her quinny, i pulled away from this other other buggy and left it eating dust, never saw them again. and it was a bugaboo aswell.

Sadly mine has already - on Day 1 of ownership......muppet pulled out in front me when I was doing 50 with no room and his Yellow Hyundai Accent 1.3 Coupe had no chance of accelerating but obviously he thought I'd done something wrong and seemed to be asking me for a cup of coffee but I only drink tea :p

I hope this is not the sign of things to come as I'll be doing 15-20K per year

The excuse of private roads has been used many a time in this thread... and where do you happen t find these private roads with these randomers driving "hot" hatches wanting to have a go?

My Cupra gets the attention of the Paxo/Nova boys, who seam hell bent on tailgating every chance they get on my daily commute. It's very annoying that they also seam to be prepared to take lots of risks too, just to stay ahead for bragging rights when they get home:

"My 1.0 Saxo took a Cupra today" - Yeah, sure. I dare say he/she will fail to mention that the Cupra driver could not give a ****!

For example, i've seen a few idiots tailgate, undertake, cut you up on the inside of a roundabout and overtake you on narrow country lanes etc in the path of on-coming traffic just so youcan hear the "Powa" of their engine, "Ya get me?"

It's really quite sad, and I never rise to the occasion - Just leave them to get on with it and write off their airbag less, ABS less, un-insured sheds...

Despite this being a relatively mature discussion that stayed on the right side of the line, it has been spoilt by people who, despite the warning, cannot resist making immature posts about racing.
