hey everyone just thought I'd pop my head in and say hello, got my ibiza a couple of weeks ago and loving it to bits (even thought it's non cupra)

Yep insurance is a bitch, cheapest I got quoted was 1500 (i've already got points) then went to a broker who sorted it out significantly cheaper, no idea how and don't want to find out

Nah I wasn't sorry mate, I was working! lol.
And wouldn't have been me coz my wheels aren't smart, well possibly from a distance, but up close you can see they're all corroded and peeling, they're awful!!!!!!!

im only 22, im younger than you :p

but yes it is nice being older with more experiance

Isn't just age, is all about no claims etc. My mate passed similar time to me, hasn't made a claim or anything and had his own insurance since day 1 of driving, and now has 2years no claims and pays something like 600 quid fully comp for a 206 gti and is only 19!!!!

but older you are, more chance of no claims ;)

I'm 23, and have 5 years NCB, plus Pass Plus. 4 years is usually classed as "full no claims", really noticed the difference this year once I hit 5 tho ;)

Does that pass plus actually make any difference? I remember when i looked into it my insurers at the time said they'd knock off £20 and that was it!!! So wasn't worth getting really I thought!

pass pluss took £280 off my first insurance!

well worth getting IMHO as its easy to do.
plus.. for some reason pass plus counts as 1 yrs NCB, and it gets carried over :D

Oh yeah adam i fitted the cupra lights, they look sweet, haven't actually done the clips yet they're just kind of supported by the bumper...but i think i'll probably end up making my own ones or cannibalising the old lights...
Get paid in a few days so i'm planning what to get next, think I might get some light tints and light eyebrows, I saw some really nice ones that give it a Leon-ish sort of look..
And then I'm getting lots of rattle cans for colour coding!!!

A not so great pic of my latest and most expensive mod!

CIMG0650.jpg

And before you say it. I'm aware it now looks as high as a Land Rover lol. I'll sort that out some time!

I've also got a question. In that pic I've bolted on the wheels with the bolts from my standard 1.4 wheels. They seem to fit perfectly and nice and tight so I'm guessing they're ok, but I thought I'd check here first. I've put the standard ones back on now though, as I don't have any locking wheel nuts yet!

But whenever I get some side skirts and get it lowered I think it's gonna look really well!

I got around about £200 back for my pass plus. But your only meant to use it for your first year of driving after it Matt ;) Saying that I still use it!

I've lost count of how many times we've all said how much we're paying for our insurance! I'm paying £1100 for my 1.6 with 6 points on my lisence! The points put it up £50!! Lesson today? Go to Norwich Union if you have convictions! :thumps up:

Anyone able to answer this?

As I was saying above, I've used the bolts from my original wheels on my new SEAT Sport Super T's

Now I remember reading somewhere that aftermarket wheels need new bolts. But these are
half breeds lol, made by OZ Racing, but off a Cupra R

I've tried them on and they seem to fit perfectly and nice and tight so I'm guessing they're ok, but I thought I'd check here first.

In the mean time I've put the standard ones back on now though, as I don't have any locking wheel nuts yet and I also dont wan't them to fall off if the bolts are not right.
