I'm sure, although it looks like the climate control unit is linked to the screen too and surely that would involve the climate control system too!

If I had to drive a Passat, I would cry - I didn't cry when Bambi died, but a Passat, well that's a whole different story!

Yeah I think it would involve some new equipment too....

Before my Leon I had an ex-partner and 3 kids.... we looked at Passats (shudder) and even worse she liked the Toyota Avensis, but then she was a BIG woman! Luckily I managed to find a Mazda6 Sport.... lucky escape!

Theres nothing wrong with her looking at a Passat & an Avensis. After all, she was a minicab driver, right?

I've been speaking to Tommy last week, he sold me a SEAT branded MFD3, works great with the wheel controls and BT on a March 2007 FR TFSi, stil got the MFD clock shift problem though. The SEAT MFD3 did not need the cose and did not need the Safe pin wired in although I did this later anayway just in case !

I'm now trying to get the TV module and premium BT working - has anyone got either of these functioning yet ?

Did you buy the updated Skoda Bluetooth module which supports the full telephony features of the RNS510?

Which TV module are you trying to get working?

Nick, I'm still waiting for Tommy's comments on the TV modue he can source, could be the VW unit. Regarding the BT, I took out my unit last night and it is the standard P/N 5P0862335, so I'm going to try the Premium BT P/N quoted in this thread (1Z0035729B).

Two other points - my AM radio reception is almost non existent (common to other installs, although FM is very good) and my AUX input works with an IPod but you have to turn the AUX volume level right up and the IPod volume - the result is very poor and seems to pick up interference from the car - any solution to this ?

Hi Ian, I'm not sure on the ipod on the Aux input - mine has the factory fitted ipod option so its controlled through the CD changer on the RNS510.

My AM reception is pretty poor too...

Chrisboyle999, yep tried this but, I can hear it well enough but the quality is rubbish. I've just resorted to transferring all the track to the HD so can avoid the AUX socket.
