I was wondering if anyone has been able to get the garmin to work while having an Aftermarket head unit installed, or has anyone been able to get the doors opening indicator, reverse indicator and gauges to work on the Aftermarket one, iv got a seat ibiza 6j with the hazard cluster under the headunit as pictures below, iv looked on another thread and there's a video on how to do it and it's in Spanish so cant understand what he is saying or what is doing, iv put pictures below to what i had to what iv upgraded to

They seem to end in tears when a movement away from the fitted infotainment unit is taken with something else. Witness the Ateca thread on an Android device. There appears to be success with a Chinese box of tricks to get Android Auto onto Mib1 that you see on Seat and Skoda boards. That's just a plug in device but once you rip out the infotainment unit and try to plug in a clone device with extra functionality regular things stop working. Probably the makers haven't quite mastered that one. No surprise really.

Had a minidisc changer in an Altea installed and Fiat Uno, that interface translated CD changer commands to the MD. Little interface box fitted behind the headend. Had to tell Halfords what to order at the time. Incremental translation bits work but not heart replacement with something from a different manufacturer.
