i'v owned a lot of cars in the past and really cupra is one of my favorites.it was also the fastest ;)!the reasons for the car beeing sold are these:1)after driving all over europe and coming back to my island(70 miles long,25 miles width) with no highways,it was a BIG shock!! 2)the last year here in greece we changed the traffic code,so now speding can easily send you to jail!in 11 months of ownership i got 3 speeding tickets, one of them very expensive and believe me i am a "slow" driver :p! 3)my wife wouldn't touch the cupra because of the seat, visibility and beeing afraid of it beeing very fast!yes cupra is gently but she was afraid of it anyway! 4)now i could get good money for it allas in 1 more year i would get a lot less! the car was sold for 24.300 euros and it will be replaced shortly!i'll let you know....:)

well, lets just say that going 60 miles gives you 30 euros,75 miles 350 euros your plates for 1 month and your driving license for 3!!85-100 miles you go to jail for 1 day-750 euros-6 months no license,no plates!!offcourse in any case you recieve point system points and in 15 points they take away your license for ever [:@]!offcourse in highways that my island doesn't have you are allowed to go 90 miles tops!anyway the resume is they need money so they are going to get them one way or another :censored:!in my opinion fast cars are only worthy in countries with race tracks,uk etc, where you can really enjoy your car without the fear of going to jail....:(.-

Sad to see you sell mate, but at least you have sold it for the right reasons :)

Shame you never made it up as far as Scotland in it.

Enjoy whatever you buy next!

Damn you are wright. In BG on the highway you're not allowed over 130 km/ph.The Fines are not as solty as yours but i'm sure they'll soon be. There are some new laws coming.I guess we can't be too different than the big brother (EU)

does nobody else want to say 'queer as folk'?

Perhaps, but imagine how 'queer as folk' he could be having spent time in a Greek jail. All those shaven chests etc...scary!

cupra2007 you sold yours and I am getting mine :) Since I live in Greece too what you say troubled me. I am also a "slow" driver but sometimes may push it a little. The truth is that you cannot go anywhere (especially in motorways) without getting caught by a radar, camera or roadblock and fines are huge (plus you may loose your license or and up in jail as you said). I am afraid that this was necessary though as we are in the majority irresponsible drivers. Given that we have inferior roads to lets say UK's we need to get more sensible. In any case whatever you buy next I hope you'll enjoy it. Possibly - as you showed - a 4x4 or an SUV is a much more suitable car for Greek roads :D

keep in mind also that my real problems began when i returned from my trip to london back to my little island!!!it was a BBBIIIIIIIGGGGGGG dissapointment!driving back in our small miserable roads when i was traveling each day 500miles in beautifull highways and much safer co-drivers....anyway i always wanted a fast car and the cupra, especially with the revo, was a fantastic car,but there is NO way you are going to enjoy this kind of car in an island or in greece generally.....PS:i test drove the r8 and the auto function was a huge dissapointment even in sport mode!!
