puts a lot of 20vt's to shame!! dare i ask for the spec list!! i take it that's yours on the youtube being dyno'd?

Didn't know it was on youtube - where ?

Its a 2L short block, 144mm Carillo H-rods, 12:1 Accralite forged pistons with valve cutouts, VW forged crank, ARP fasteners throughout
Flowed head with bigger one piece stainless valves in/out, solid lifters (Arrow)
Titanium valve caps, Catcams high lift springs, billet Catcams cams (280+ and very high lift), vernier cam wheels
Titan / F3 dry sump
Lumenition 451 dizzy triggered ECU with lumenition coil amps and vauxhall XE coil
Custom under-drive pully on crank (90mm dia down from 135mm) slowing waterpump and alternator which have std size pullies
Billet power steering and waterpump pullies (stock dia)
New alternator / little gel battery in car
Badger-5 DTH 45mm TB's with cossie beige injectors and custom billet rampipes, Jenvey custom phenolic gasket to head to stop heat conduction
ITG cossie DFV JC70 filter
Awesome Mk2 Golf GTI 4-1 manifold with enlarged collector, lambda added, and whole lot 4 layer ceramic coated inside and outside, 2.5" stainless system to back, one big repackable silencer at rear
Autotec ali G60 flywheel precision drilled to take ARP flywheel bolts
Spec stage 1 VR6 clutch - organic type for smoother takeup than paddle kind (found its better off the line and is lasting well - supposed to be good for 300 lbft - sprints are short events so not too much time for heat buildup which is probably why its ok)
Radtec WRC-spec short radiator with samco / custom ali plumbing

LOTS of messing about time.....

Currently at a bit of a decision point with it - to keep developing with bigger TB's, better (newer) engine management, higher spec fuel which will give me probably another 20-30hp

OR

Build a 1.4 Turbo (see separate thread)

OR

Sell up at end of year and build a motorbike-engined single seater

Decisions decisions

That must stand you in a fair amount Rob! El rapido though!

I dont want to think about it :headhurt: very quick car now, competition proven, nearly always the fastest atmo saloon at sprints and hillclimbs (couple exceptions when british championship boys turn up)

Yeh thats it - 236 I think that day, done a bit more optimisation since, 248 a couple months ago

goes like stink - nothing like big turbo power but totally instant throttle response in what is quite a light car now - not bad power for an atmo car
