I am feeling some pressure Myki...lol

and as for wasting money...it might just fit and i'll have one for a third of the price of buying one in color (which is ugly i.m.o) and then having to spend even more to get it chromed....

Well...too late to think more about this now...

I took the plunge and bought one...

guess time will tell (fingers crossed!)

Will take probably until halfway next week to arrive...so I'll let you guys know.
If it doesn't fit I guess I'll have another item up for sale on dutch internet...

You have done it too...so now its my turn

so you tried the Mk2 golf, and I am trying the Mk4....

we'll see.

Question though: for the rear strut we use the Polo 6N one, so why wouldn;t front one of 6N fit?
Anyone that can shed more light on that?

hmmm....already thinking I chose the wrong VW model when ordering that strut....because there are also a few on ebay for 6N type polo...

The one I bought does have 4 inches to 'play' with either shortening the strut or lengthening it...

Myki I understand that...all that I am saying is that VW parts pretty much always fit our cars...however its different VW models/years for each part. So I guess trial and error keep getting us a little closer.

So now peachy has bought the MK2 strut which didn't fit (eventhough Jimyu just posted the quote which said front of Cupra is from mk2 body). Now I have ordered the Mk4 which might fit.
If it doesn't its either the Mk3 (however I don't really think it is because most of the ebay ones are advertised for Mk2 and 3 same strut) or its the polo ones.

Point is, I don;t have all those cars lined up on my drive to measure each engine bay and thus compare with my car to see what fits. And again: i don't want the red one....

so its trial and error...
