The lacquer you used is a high temp one?? I went into halfrauds today and they loked at me as if I was from a different planet?! I have spare lacquer in the garage but it say's don't exceed to over 50 degrees....

nah i did'nt risk the halfords stuff, i used the link on the first page and brought the exact stuff he advised

im guessing so yeah, this is the Lacquer (Hycote Lacquer Paint) that "m.r.davies" used on the guide so i just ordered that

I decided to laquer the rear calipers at the weekend to see what kind of finish i could get as i don't remember anyone doing their rear calipers.
I did one side at a time and i took a picture of each side with one being finished and one not even started.

I got better results on the rears than i thought i would, didn't take too long either, it's just the waiting between coats that did my head in!

Your rear calipers look as dirty as mine are and I find that no amount of cleaning makes them much better! Any tips on getting them looking as good as yours?

sorry matey I meant how did you clean the paint before you laquered them as soap and water seems to do bugger all and I'd be weary of using allow wheel cleaner!
