The lacquer you used is a high temp one?? I went into halfrauds today and they loked at me as if I was from a different planet?! I have spare lacquer in the garage but it say's don't exceed to over 50 degrees....

nah i did'nt risk the halfords stuff, i used the link on the first page and brought the exact stuff he advised

Im really chuffed with how they come up, look brand new again!
 
I decided to laquer the rear calipers at the weekend to see what kind of finish i could get as i don't remember anyone doing their rear calipers.
I did one side at a time and i took a picture of each side with one being finished and one not even started.

Surrey darling...
Your rear calipers look as dirty as mine are and I find that no amount of cleaning makes them much better! Any tips on getting them looking as good as yours?

sorry matey I meant how did you clean the paint before you laquered them as soap and water seems to do bugger all and I'd be weary of using allow wheel cleaner!
