Well after a 5% pay rise and a small bonus I'll be getting some of these along with cruise control and samco hoses
Well I had to pull myself away from a brand new set of HIDs on Saturday. They were for sale at Castle Combe and it was the last box on the stall so the guy had knocked it down to... £30
The horror stories of burnt out looms put me off so I bought som Phillips Xtreme Bulbs for £25 which was a good price too, just as someone else grabbed the HIDs

Where have you heard these stories?
I've never heard any and I've also had HIDs for 6+ months with no issues whatsoever.
You should have ripped his arm off for £30.
Just to put things straight. The HIDs would not be able to burn out any wiring as they draw much less current from the system than standard halogen bulbs do. It's the ballasts that up the voltage to the required level, around 20k, but the current is still far less than standard.
Heh fair enough. Should have had them then, oh well.
Well thats me killed 15 mins, and the bad boys are in!
took some pics during install so you can see the diff - if any!
Bosch HID
El' Cheapo No Brand HID
Bosch On Right & Cheapo On Left!
I can see no diff in light or quality with these kits!
