I have a flip key, have had it for a couple of months but not got round to doing anything other than coding it to the car (buttons work). The number is:
HLO 1K0 959 753

Its a 3 button, but cant get the boot to work although others have (formula sport as well). It may be a basic change on vag com, i dont know.

Hope this helps

yeah thats great cheers! thanks for the code but do you know if it needs to be a specific letter at the end of the number E.g. AH, N, G, K, A etc etc?

Anybody?

i've just bought the flip key now from ebay and still awaiting its arrival :D woohoo! but the transponder from my old non-remote key is glued solid into the key. I don't want to break it but don't know how to get it out1

Is it quite fragile or will the glass tube be quite strong if i used abit of effort?

Get a needle and a lighter ... head up the end of the needle and poke at the glue round the transponder to soften and loosen it. :)

it is a bit stronger than it looks but not much:D

i used a craft knife and gently cut through the plastic surrounding it.

it took me forever but i was extra careful;)

yeaahh im trying a craft knife at the moment but think im gunna try the lighter idea :)

If the flipkey that i've ordered comes with a transponder already in it, is there any chance i can just program that to the car using the same methods as i would if i transferred the transponder from the non-remote spare?

i haven't tried that idea yet but have attempted some of the above :p

I ended up stood above the oven dangling the key over the hob to try and melt the glue haha, but ended up burning my fingers! and its seems to take aaaggggeeeeesss cutting around the glue with the craft knife. Im gunna go mad!

I hope i don't break the transponder:headhurt:

I'll keep you posted on how the removal is going :)

The bad news: I've completely lost it and now i don't know what to do argh!

Any help? I've been to Seat and they want £40.80 just for the transponder and i don't know where / how i can get another :(

Hey guys,

Got my flip key in the post today! Proceeded to get the immobiliser capsules out with nail varnish remover - left it to soak while i programmed the Central Locking.
Went through this thread looking for programming methods but found that none of them worked for mine (I've got a 57 ibiza formula sport).
Part code HLO 1J0 959 753 AG.

Google searched and found this thread;
http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=134600

1st suggestion didn't work, but 2nd did....Modified slightly!
Sat in the car with driver window open. Locked car with Original Remote Key.
Used all three of my keys to make it easier - Spare Key with no buttons in the driver door lock, Original Remote Key in ignition, New Flip Key in my hand.
Arm out window and unlocked with spare key - leave key there.
Ignition on with Remote Key.
Arm out window and locked with spare key.
Pressed LOCK on New Flip Remote - heard a noise from dash (I guess to indicate program mode).
Press and HOLD unlock on Flip Remote for about 3 seconds, then release.
Turn ignition off, Remove Original Remote Key from Ignition.
Test New Flip Key, should work!

I took the plunge and ordered a flip key from fleabay, only to discover that its not coming from the u.k. as stated on the ad, but in fact from Toronto Canada, so lord alone knows how long it'll be before it arrives

i still haven't received my key yet but went to the local timpsons to see how much it would be to get the key cut and they said that it can only be cut at a local dealer because its encryptocoded or something?

What happens now?

Load of bollox mate. My local Timpsons cut mine. The key is simply a key. The transponder for the immoboliser has nothing to do with cutting the key. Took them less than a minute to do mine.
