knock correction? block 020?

Up to about 5 is ok, if your gettin 12's then you have either bad fuel, wrong plugs/wrong gaps, high AIT or using too high a timing on the Revo settings.

I would try to control the boost first then introduce a bleed valve/mbc at a later point.

I'd get an SPS3 or Select if i was you.

Gotta be honest, they dont sound like they know an awful lot. If they got the software and cant control the knock then you have to question what theyre doing.

What plugs, fuel, and revo settings are you running?

Get it running ok, then fiddle like dave said.

im running the bosh plugs, v-power fuel, boost level four not sure what timing settings i have not been told!!

this is the way i see it yeah

knock= a parametre that it met when all other veriables are correct fuel and spark and timing and so on, when these parametres are not met ie 5% i think you said phil the ECU holds back its signals sort of like gimp mode so things dont get damaged mine is flucktuating between 5% and 12% which is not good and thats on boost level 4 on revo so no point increasing it as the knock correction will be sky high, whats controlling the boost is it the n75??? this is where im confused!!! if my turbo is surging which it is, whats causing this?? the ECU?? the n75 as its not up to the job??? can the turbo serge ask for more fuel its there then it doesnt want it, ie the serge!!! and this is confusing my ECU into the KNOCK correction 12% surly this boost needs to be controlled using an mbc then the boost can be controlled manually rather than electrically stop the serging then this will stop the knock correction

this is how i understand it i my be talking complete sh*t, but lol this is the first time i have ever done anything like this to a car!!!

have you logged N75 duty cycle, requested vs actual boost to see the spike is machanical (N75 and or turbo actuator) or just poor map parameters

dropping in an mbc is a cop out.

CF of 12's you say?
major det going on.

what you wanna find out is why its coming up with 12's first, either hardware or software, then go from their

what bill is suggesting is logging via vagcom to troubleshoot this

so what your saying its a software issue!! the revo stage three that kev sent them the timing is to high, they would have done more invest on my car but i had to pull it out as its my only car and i need it!!! surely it was pluged into vagcom when they R&R it to see all the parametres, dont know if this has got anything to do with it but they said it had an air leak, did a smoke check and found nothing!!!

what were saying is it a mechanical fault? or a electrical/software fault?

the questions i would ask the garage if you havnt got vagcom are what i stated, if you have got vagcom (which reading the thread iirc you havnt) then start logging the above and find out
